Materials and Supplies:
-
24 g copper Sheet rio #132124 6.5"x 2.5" (minimum) 3 to 4” width is better especially on 1st practice cuff
-
24 g fine silver sheet rio #100460 6.5"x 3" for bracelet 2.5” will do if you like narrow cuffs
-
24g red brass sheet rio #130124 6.5"x 2.5" (minimum) 3 to 4” width is better.
*if you have a very small wrist, you can maybe get by with 6” length. The folding gathers up length…how much depends on the direction and height of the folds. I allow a minimum ½” more than my normal bracelet length. If your wrist is very large, start with 7” or more. It is better to have to cut your bracelet shorter than it is to have it too small for your wrist.
* a wider width is actually easier to do than narrow. So we start wider.
* if you have slightly heavier metal already, you could roll it down to 24g.(and it gets longer!)
*It’s nice to have extra copper/ brass to experiment with or do multiples
*You could do the projects without the fine silver, but the Sterling silver cuff is very difficult to open and the folds are too stiff. That is why we don’t use it.
