About Diane

A native to southern California, Diane lives in the beautiful Long Beach where she and her husband raised two sons. She  taught elementary grades 4-6 for 36 years, retiring in 2003. It was her youngest son's  interest in Celtic silver jewelry which got her thinking about jewelry after she retired. She took her first metals class at Long Beach Community College in 2004 and it has been her passion ever since.

Diane has been very active in the local jewelry community and served as  president of the Metal Arts Society of So. CA for 6 years. She still hosts MASSC meetings and other gathering in her studio and enjoys a rich relationship with other makers and teachers.

It is her passion for the metal arts that inspired her to invite metalsmith instructors from across the country to do workshops. Diane's workshops host some of the top metalsmith instructors in the United States. It is a favorite stop for many instructors on their teaching tours.

As well as hosting workshops Diane create's beautiful one of a kind pieces of folded fine silver and enjoys expanding her metalsmithing techniques.
